The Role

You will be responsible for :

  • Provide day-to-day local and remote desktop support, addressing hardware, software, and application issues.
  • Receive inbound calls, troubleshoot problems, and document solutions in a ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers to ensure consistent operational procedures.
  • Perform Break Fix and fault diagnosis for desktop systems.
  • Support various operating systems and applications.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on computers, printers, and peripherals.
  • Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot network connectivity and workstation issues.
  • Have basic knowledge of Mac operating systems to support Apple PC users.
  • Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot printers and computer hardware.
  • Work on projects requiring flexibility and teamwork.

Ideal Profile

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Business level Japanese and English to effectively liaise with the stakeholders of the region.
  • CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 18 months of IT experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows 7-10, Microsoft Active Directory, MS Office 365, and helpdesk ticketing systems.
  • Familiarity with enterprise anti-virus solutions and mobile device management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet SLAs.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Adaptability to a fast-changing work environment.
  • Willingness to work off-hours and weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to mentor junior technicians and provide support to senior technicians.
