Position Summary:

The Digital Experience (Senior) Supervisor is a position within the Brand Marketing Department responsible for end-to-end management of the digital experience on the official website — from planning and design through production, publication, and ongoing optimization. This role leads the production, updating, and maintenance of special sites and brand management pages related to brand content such as new products, services, and events, contributing to maximizing brand understanding, customer engagement, and demand generation in the Japanese market.

This position is not simply a web production and operations role; it is responsible for enhancing brand understanding, product understanding, and customer engagement through the official website and owned channels. The role leads the planning, design, publication, and improvement of web experiences, appropriately managing external production and development agencies to improve both quality and speed. It also contributes to increasing brand value and business results through ongoing, data-driven improvement.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead information architecture, page structure, wireframing, production progress, publication management, and ongoing optimization of special sites and brand management pages on the official website, based on a clear understanding of the planning intent, target audience, and key messaging.
  • Design web experiences aligned with Brand Marketing strategy for owned digital initiatives such as new product launches, events, and campaigns, contributing to improved brand and product understanding, greater customer engagement, and optimized reservation/purchase pathways.
  • Maintain a working understanding of HTML, CSS, CMS, and related technologies to make minor fixes as needed and provide direction to production agencies. Manage pre-launch QA, display checks, link checks, and tracking tag verification, as well as post-launch maintenance and operations.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Digital, Social, PR, ECOM/DTC, IT, Sales, external designers, and production/development agencies — from requirements gathering and brief creation to schedule management, quality control, and issue resolution.
  • Identify issues on the official website and landing pages based on quantitative data such as GA4, tag design, and heatmaps, and drive the process from formulating improvement hypotheses through prioritization, implementation, and effectiveness verification. Contribute to improving key KPIs such as CTR, CVR, site engagement, and time on page.
  • Understand brand guidelines and tone of voice, Japanese market customer insights, and relevant regulations (such as the Act against Unjustified Premiums and Misleading Representations) and expression-related risks, while properly understanding global assets, copy, and project objectives, to ensure consistent quality of digital expression and user experience.
  • Perform other related duties as deemed necessary by the Brand Marketing team and management.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Foundational knowledge of brand marketing, and an understanding of communication design for owned channels based on customer understanding and the customer journey, as well as KPI design, measurement, and improvement cycles.
  • Practical knowledge of the full process of planning, designing, producing, publishing, and optimizing digital experiences, including landing pages.
  • Analytical ability to capture the results of digital initiatives through data, and the drive to move from identifying issues to proposing and executing improvements.
  • Project management skills to run multiple projects concurrently, ability to organize requirements, and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skills in creating briefs for external production and development agencies, progress management, direction, quality control, expectation management, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to plan and structure content in line with business objectives and project KPIs, and to write, edit, and proofread copy in Japanese.
  • English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills necessary for collaborating with global teams.

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, media/information design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a web director/producer, in digital marketing, marketing communications, brand marketing, or in website/landing page production and operations at a business company or production agency. For the Senior Supervisor level, 5+ years of experience is preferred, including having served as the lead on the planning, production, and operation of large-scale brand sites or campaign sites, with experience managing multiple vendors and running multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience building and operating websites using CMS/e-commerce platforms such as Salesforce, with a working knowledge of HTML/CSS sufficient to make fixes independently and provide direction to production and development agencies.
  • Experience using data such as GA4 to drive effectiveness verification, issue identification, and improvement proposals and implementation based on key digital metrics.
  • Experience creating and reviewing wireframes using tools such as Figma is preferred. Basic knowledge of, or experience with, simple image and design edits using tools such as Photoshop/Illustrator is a plus.
  • Experience in golf, sports, consumer goods, retail, e-commerce, or brand marketing is a plus, as is golf experience or knowledge.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Standard office-based work environment, with daily use of a PC, online meetings, and various digital tools. Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Business travel or work outside normal hours may be required depending on new product launches, photo/video shoots, events, retail/fitting-related initiatives, and internal/external meetings.
