This position is responsible for designing and administering competitive compensation and benefits programs while also managing employee relations matters within the organization. This role ensures that employees are fairly compensated, supported, and engaged, contributing to a positive work environment and employee satisfaction.

Description
1 Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
2 Conduct regular market research and analysis to benchmark compensation and benefits packages against industry standards and trends.
3 Collaborate with HR leadership to design and administer employee wellness programs, recognition initiatives, and other perks to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
4 Serve as a trusted advisor and resource to employees and managers on matters related to compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
5 Manage the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
6 Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring fairness, consistency, and transparency in evaluations and merit increases.
7 Handle employee relations issues, including grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions, in a fair and respectful manner, following company policies and procedures.
8 Provide guidance and support to managers in resolving employee conflicts and fostering positive working relationships.
9 Stay informed about relevant labor laws and regulations and ensure compliance in all aspects of compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
10 Partner with other HR functions, such as talent acquisition and learning and development, to support overall HR initiatives and goals.
Profile
1 Bachelor's Degree
2 Proven experience in compensation and benefits, employee relations, or a related HR function, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry.
3 Strong understanding of compensation principles, including salary structures, incentive programs, and pay equity.
4 Familiarity with HRIS systems (ie. SAP, WorkDay, SuccessFactors) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
5 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility at all levels of the organization.
6 Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
7 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and results-driven approach.
8 Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
9 Fluency in Japanese with business level English.
