We are currently seeking a dynamic and passionate English Instructor to join our team in Hamamatsu, Japan.
Job Description:
As an English Instructor at Globalschoolscout, you will be responsible for teaching English to students of all ages and levels. You will create and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate a variety of teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student. You will also be responsible for assessing student progress and providing feedback to students and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons to students of all ages and levels
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of each student
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve teaching materials and methods
- Participate in school events and activities, including parent-teacher conferences and open houses
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
- Attend regular staff meetings and professional development sessions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Native or near-native English proficiency
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience, preferably in Japan
- Experience teaching students of all ages and levels
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for teaching and helping students achieve their goals
- Valid work visa for Japan
Contract Details:
This is a full-time position with a 1-year contract. The contract may be renewed based on performance and the needs of the school. The salary for this position will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid vacation, health insurance, and housing assistance.
Location:
This position is based in Hamamatsu, a vibrant city located in the Kantō region of Japan. Hamamatsu is known for its beautiful parks, historical sites, and delicious food. It is also conveniently located near Tokyo, making it easy to explore other parts of Japan during your free time.
