Our Team
The Portfolio Buy-Side Implementation team is responsible for onboarding new and existing clients to PORT Enterprise, Bloomberg’s Portfolio and Risk Management solution. Key responsibilities include pre-sales engagement, analytics configuration, data integration, analytics reconciliation , programme delivery and adoption,
PORT Enterprise implementations are complex and require detailed project planning, regular stakeholder engagement, and hands-on client training. Team members are expected to understand institutional investment workflows, multi-asset class portfolios, have a strong grasp of data operations, and bring solid project management capabilities.
What's the role?
As a PORT Enterprise Performance & Risk Implementation Specialist, you will lead and scale Bloomberg PORT Enterprise implementations for sophisticated buy-side clients across APAC, with a particular focus on portfolio analytics, performance attribution and ex-ante risk. You will partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams, as well as portfolio managers, risk professionals, attribution specialists, operations teams, and technology stakeholders to understand client workflows, configure solutions, and ensure successful implementation and adoption.
This role combines relationship management, implementation leadership, project execution, investment analytics expertise, and technical problem-solving. You will manage implementation timelines, lead projects from discovery through production go-live, support data onboarding, validation and analytics reconciliation efforts, deliver client training, and help clients embed PORT into their investment and risk management workflows. You will also act as a trusted advisor to clients, driving adoption and ensuring successful business outcomes. Travel may be required to support client engagements across the APAC region.
We'll trust you to:
  • Lead end-to-end PORT Enterprise and Performance & Risk implementations from discovery through production go-live.
  • Define project scope, delivery milestones, governance structures, and success criteria.
  • Manage data onboarding, portfolio structures, benchmark setup, historical backfills, analytics configuration, and validation.
  • Configure portfolio analytics, performance attribution, and ex-ante risk workflows aligned with client investment processes.
  • Investigate analytics discrepancies and communicate findings effectively to both technical and investment stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to portfolio managers, risk professionals, performance teams, and technology leaders.
  • Drive client adoption through workflow design, user training, and operating model recommendations.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Data teams to improve implementation standards and influence future product enhancements.
You'll need to have:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience within buy-side investment management, asset ownership, financial technology, consulting, or enterprise software implementation environments with exposure to portfolio risk, analytics, performance measurement, or investment operations.
  • Strong understanding of institutional investment workflows, including portfolio construction, performance measurement, attribution, risk management, and data operations.
  • Working knowledge of performance attribution methodologies and ex-ante risk analytics concepts.
  • Deep understanding of multi-asset portfolios, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
  • Experience leading complex implementations, transformation initiatives, or strategic client engagements involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex analytics and data-related challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex investment and technical concepts to a broad range of audiences.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and operating effectively in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
  • Experience working with portfolio data structures, market data, analytics outputs, and technical integration workflows.
  • Professional fluency in English and Japanese.
  • Occasional travel may be required based on business needs
We'd love to see:
  • Knowledge of modern data architecture, cloud technologies, API ecosystems, data visualization tools, or investment data strategies.
  • Experience with Advanced Risk Analytics solutions such as Value At Risk (VaR), Multi-asset Stress Testing, Scenario Analysis, Fundamental Review Trading Book (FRTB).
  • CFA, CAIA, or equivalent investment qualifications.
  • Interest in emerging trends across portfolio analytics, investment technology, AI-enabled workflows, and data-driven investment processes.
  • Exposure to technical tools such as APIs, Python, SQL, or similar data analysis and integration technologies.
  • Exposure to Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Visualization tool such as Microsoft Power BI
