EY - Risk Consulting - Process and Controls – Internal Audit (Arabic bi-lingual) – Senior
As part of our Risk Consulting team, you will support the Process and Controls Team in client engagements related to Internal Audit, Risk Assessment, process reviews, documentation support, and Project Management Office (PMO) activities across the MENA region. This role requires good proficiency in Arabic and English to support Arabic document review, client coordination, status reporting, workpaper documentation, and engagement delivery.
The client base spans across various sectors and includes collaboration with other teams within Consulting Services. The role will involve supporting multiple client engagements, coordinating with stakeholders, and contributing to practical and timely delivery of engagement requirements.
The opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior with English-Arabic bilingual capability to join our Process and Controls Team. The role will support internal audit, risk assessment, process review, documentation, and PMO-related activities, while helping engagement teams manage client requests, timelines, and deliverables.
You will work as part of multi-disciplinary teams and assist in planning, fieldwork coordination, Arabic and English document review, status tracking, basic analysis, workpaper preparation, and reporting support under the guidance of Managers and engagement leadership.
Your key responsibilities
- Support internal audit, risk assessment, process review, and PMO-related engagements across the MENA region
- Review Arabic and English documents, policies, procedures, contracts, and supporting evidence relevant to client engagements
- Assist in process understanding discussions, walkthroughs, preparation of process notes, risk-control documentation, and workpapers
- Coordinate information requests, maintain project trackers, follow-up logs, meeting notes, pending document status, and timeline updates as part of PMO support
- Support testing, documentation review, exception tracking, and preparation of status reports and engagement deliverables
- Help summarize Arabic documents, responses, and discussions into clear English inputs for engagement teams where required
- Support coordination with clients, onshore teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely closure of deliverables and information requests
- Guide junior team members on basic documentation, tracker maintenance, and follow-up activities, where required
Skills and attributes for success
- Preferably an academic background in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline
- Good proficiency in English and Arabic, including the ability to read Arabic documents and support bilingual engagement communication
- Practical understanding of internal audit, risk assessment, process reviews, documentation, and PMO support activities
- Good coordination, follow-up, stakeholder communication, and status reporting skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks, manage timelines, and support engagement teams under deadlines
- Attention to detail in document review, tracker maintenance, workpaper preparation, and deliverable support
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Minimum three years of professional experience, preferably including experience in roles requiring Arabic language support
- Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Good proficiency in English and Arabic, with the ability to read Arabic documents and support engagement communication
- A valid passport for travel.
