Microsoft Asia

Asia is one of 3 regions of Microsoft Commercial Business and is further divided into 6 Operating Units/Areas: ANZ (Australia & New Zealand), ASEAN, Greater China Region, India, Japan, and Korea. Asia has been an enabler of the company’s growth through partnership with Governments, Enterprise, Small and Medium Businesses as well as our Partners in region.

The Asia MCAPS Finance team is responsible for finance partnership with the Sales and Marketing teams in MCAPS and to be a bridge with corporate functions.

Responsibilities

This role presents an exciting opportunity to drive the Commercial Devices business growth in Asia, in collaboration with the Area business teams and the Regional GTM organization. This role is of an Individual Contributor and rolls up under the Asia Regional Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team within MCAPS Asia Finance.

This role will work in close collaboration with the 6 Area Finance teams to support various finance processes relating to Commercial Devices including month close, budgeting, forecasting, outlook, long range plans etc.

This role participates in the WW Finance Community initiatives and will play a key role in amplifying the voice of Asia with Corporate HQ and help land initiatives in Asia. The successful candidate will develop deep subject matter expertise on Devices products to drive strong performance and sustainable growth for the business.

Responsibilities

Partnership

  • Drive the Area business conversation through insightful and actionable analytics around customer acquisition / value realization (usage) / expansion of Devices products to empower the business partners to drive the right business outcomes for sustainable growth.
  • Build a deep external perspective of the market and the competitive landscape to provide thought leadership to the business partners and navigate them through new business opportunities / growth road map for the areas & region.
  • Work closely with the rest of the Area finance team members and build a joint sense of ownership and accountability behind investments and business actions to drive equitable growth across all customer segments.
  • Understand local business blockers and leverage the WW community to exchange learnings and best practices to drive resolution.
  • Partner with the Corporate Engineering Finance teams to get a holistic view of the business strategy, trends and the product roadmap.

Prioritization / Processes

  • Lead the Area Outlook, forecast and budget processes for Commercial Devices, with focus on accuracy and business accountability.
  • Complete close reviews and provide reporting that includes performance assessments and actionable insights.
  • Streamlined functional reporting processes/ standardized reporting packages
  • Accountable for finance content within Regional ROB (e.g. Quarterly Business Reviews, Month End results, Forecast)
  • Ongoing assistance to the Asia CVP, CFO and FP&A Leader.

People

  • Partner with the WW Community Lead to focus on the key insights and projects to accelerate our growth.
  • Identify finance best practices and share them broadly within Asia and WW
  • Connect the dots and help Field finance team land the Corp strategy or escalate issues and help needed.

This position involves requires the ability to communicate ideas and analysis effectively, thereby influencing business decisions, so executive maturity, business acumen and presentation and communication skills need to be your strengths.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/ Accounting/ Finance/ Economics/ Data Science, or related field AND 10+ years of relevant work experience in financial analysis and planning preferably in a Multinational Organization.
  • Qualified candidates should have a combination ofnumerous years’ experience in Finance with strong demonstration of business partnering capabilities and analytical strength. The successful candidate should have relevant experience as a Segment / Product Controller, preferably in an MNC, proven track record of achieving exceptional results through influence where no direct line authority exists.
