As of September 2025, the number of overseas businesses exceeds 1,000, and the Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) is growing strongly, with a double-digit increase year-on-year.
Department Overview
The Commerce Accounting Department is the accounting division of the Commerce & Marketing Company. It is divided into seven sections based on business categories and is responsible for all aspects of financial accounting for each business and subsidiary.
In response to various business developments and changes in the business environment, such as new service development and business restructuring, we play a role in representing financial accounting at the forefront of the business. We engage in discussions with business stakeholders and other specialized departments such as Legal, General Affairs, and Marketing to build business processes and develop the business.

Position:
Why We Hire
We are looking for a member to lead the finance and accounting department as the right-hand person to the CEO of our Chinese subsidiary during the launch and expansion of our new business in China, and to support the expansion of our global EC business from a financial and accounting perspective as a member of the headquarters' Commerce Accounting Department.
- This position is envisioned as the CFO or Head of Finance and Accounting for our subsidiary in Shanghai, China.
- You will perform your duties either by relocating to Shanghai or by working from Tokyo with regular business trips to Shanghai.
- As a member of the headquarters' Commerce Accounting Department, you will be tasked with the mission of supporting the expansion of our global EC business from a financial and accounting perspective, beyond just the accounting operations of a single subsidiary.
- As a person responsible for finance and accounting, you will play a role in driving the launch of overseas business with a wide range of discretion.
- Simultaneously, as a member of the headquarters' Commerce Accounting Department, you will also play a role in leading the accounting organization responsible for the finance and accounting of the entire EC business.
- You will be organizationally linked with the company-wide finance and accounting organization, making it possible to pursue various career goals.
Position Details
Key Responsibilities
As the CFO or Head of Finance and Accounting for our Chinese subsidiary, you will be responsible for the following:
- Building the entire finance and accounting process for the Chinese subsidiary.
- Establishing governance for finance and accounting operations.
- Overall management accounting, including budget vs. actual (B/A) management.
- Supporting the promotion of EC business expansion overseas.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in conducting business in China, with a deep understanding of local business customs and practices.
- Familiarity with local business practices and regulatory environments.
- Management for financial accounting including monthly and quarterly financial results
- Negotiate with business representatives, legal affairs, and other specialized departments on behalf of accounting
- Knowledge of IFRS or tax regulations
Desired Qualifications:
- Deep expertise in the Chinese e-commerce market.
- Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) communication.
- Proven experience in managing a team of 10+ employees.
