Meaningful Work From Day One
This role directs financial activities for the market, providing decisive counsel and leadership on key business issues. This includes driving strategic direction, shaping business and portfolio strategies, owning revenue growth management, and leading the end-to-end business planning and forecasting. What You Can Expect
Financial Advisory & Strategic Planning
- Serves as the key financial advisor to the Japan leadership team, driving strategic initiatives to grow revenue, reduce costs, and maximize profit.
- Drives monthly business reviews and business analytics to communicate key performance drivers, mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities, by providing the leadership teams with actionable recommendations.
- Manages ambiguity by agile resource allocation, scenario planning and sensitivity analysis of business performance to different internal and external factors.
- Develops comprehensive financial models and analytical tools to support long-term strategic planning and profitable decision-making.
Commercial Finance & FP&A
- Drives the end-to-end financial planning cycle and oversees the forecasting process, utilizing scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to manage ambiguity.
- Leads revenue management capabilities and analyzes the value chain, price elasticity, and competitive behaviors to optimize value creation.
- Directs analysis on pricing, discounts, and margins in close collaboration with the sales team.
- Monitors and tracks Advertising & Promotion (A&P) and SG&A budgets across marketing andoperational functions.
Operations, Governance & Partnerships
- Partners with other functions to ensure the accurate execution of accounting, credit, supply chain, tax, treasury, and IT operations.
- Identifies and implements process improvements, automation, and new IT systems to enhance reporting and overall operational efficiency.
- Manages the financial relationship, value chain modeling, budgeting, and invoicing with external partners.
- Establishes and maintains procedures for accurate periodic financial reporting and ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate policies.
- Coordinates the internal control environment in collaboration with accounting, credit, andtransactions teams.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Provides strong leadership and direction to direct reports.
- Fosters a diverse, inclusive culture while directly coaching, mentoring, and developing the next generation of finance talent.
What You Bring to the Table
- Fluency in Japanese and English is required.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in similar positions.
- Success in establishing and owning business and internal control processes.
- Proven experience influencing general management and commercial teams.
- Proven leadership, influence and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and complete multiple activities within established timeframes.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts and with diverse cultures.
- High level of integrity and trust.
- Proven champion of continuous improvement who is able to establish a long-term, broad perspective, challenge current thinking, and lead change.
What Makes You Unique

- Prior experience in wine & spirits, premium consumer goods, or FMCG industries is a nice-to-have.
