The Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Consultant with a strong background in investment sales and/or fund management, specifically targeting High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs). This role requires excellent knowledge of the financial markets, strong client relationship management skills, and the ability to provide tailored investment solutions to affluent clients. As our pioneer Financial Consultant in Japan, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and acquiring high-net-worth clients, focusing on building long-term relationships.
  • Providing personalized financial and investment advice, taking into account clients' risk tolerance, financial goals, and investment preferences.
  • Developing and implementing customized investment strategies for HNWIs, leveraging a deep understanding of financial markets and investment products.
  • Managing client portfolios, ensuring alignment with their financial objectives and market conditions.
  • Presenting and promoting a range of investment products, from both in and outside Japan, to Japanese high-net-worth individuals.
  • Ensuring all investment activities comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.

Ideal Profile

  • You possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, Master's) or relevant professional certification (CFA, CFP) is preferred.
  • You have at least 7 years experience in investment sales, wealth management, or fund management, with a proven track record of success in serving HNWIs.
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and asset management principles, and a solid understanding of the specific needs and preferences of Japanese high-net-worth individuals.
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • You possess a high level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English is required to drive and manage internal and external stakeholder relations across the region.
