The Amazon Japan Recruiting team is seeking a Recruiter who embodies a passion for learning and curiosity — someone who continuously seeks new knowledge, embraces different perspectives, and thrives on growing alongside a team of innovative professionals. We welcome candidates with a strong drive for innovation and a customer-first mindset.
You will successfully manage, prioritize, and close multiple requisitions against a timeline, with experience setting benchmarks and metrics. You will also bring strong sourcing skills — proactively identifying and engaging the right candidates to build robust pipelines. You will partner closely with hiring managers across multiple business lines to create customized hiring strategies for talent pools and market conditions. In addition to end-to-end recruitment responsibilities across multiple hiring requests concurrently, you will work on both tactical and strategic projects to continuously innovate for our customers.
At Amazon, you'll work alongside the latest AI and GenAI tools that are increasingly woven into how teams operate: from AI-powered capabilities that accelerate decision-making, to Generative AI that helps you focus on work that truly matters. You'll have opportunities and resources to develop AI fluency at your own pace, with continuous learning built into the culture.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer and partner expectations.
- Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing new processes and refining existing processes in alignment with Amazon's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.
- Build and maintain robust candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing across direct outreach, referrals, and market mapping.
- Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines, and a formal tracking process.
- Participate in special projects and recruiting initiatives, including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging internal sources of talent, and identification of top performers for senior-level openings.
- Communicate, organize, and negotiate effectively with a keen focus on delivering business results.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders — including hiring managers and HRBPs — to drive the end-to-end recruiting process smoothly and efficiently.
- Collect and organize recruiting data, analyze results and trends quantitatively, and leverage insights to inform hiring strategy and drive continuous improvement.
If you're excited about shaping how Amazon Japan hires its next generation of talent, we'd love to hear from you
