We are looking for a Full Stack Tech Lead to join a project for one of Japan's largest airline companies.
The project involves the enhancement and maintenance of an existing web portal used for ordering ancillary airline services. The platform was originally developed by the team and is now being expanded to support mobile channels and additional business requirements.
The application uses modern technologies including React/Angular for the frontend, Java/Spring for backend services, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading technical delivery, guiding development teams, and ensuring high-quality solutions while working closely with business stakeholders and offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical planning and execution of development projects.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership to development teams.
- Review code and enforce development standards and best practices.
- Ensure application quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Mentor developers and support their technical growth.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate with offshore development teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Identify project risks, resolve technical challenges, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support ongoing application maintenance, enhancements, and mobile channel expansion initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Full Stack Development.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Backend: Java, Spring Framework
- Frontend: React.js
- Experience designing and developing enterprise web applications.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices and architecture principles.
- Experience leading technical discussions and guiding development teams.
- Business-level Japanese (JLPT N2 or above).
- Business-level communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives and system integration projects.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience working with onsite-offshore delivery models.
- Exposure to mobile application development or mobile channel integration.
- Airline, travel, or transportation industry experience is an advantage.
