HR Strategy and Leadership: Develop and execute the HR strategy for the Japan office in alignment with the global HR framework. Provide strategic guidance to the leadership team.

Team Engagement: Promote employee engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture. Champion initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and well-being.

HR Operations: Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with local labor laws.

Multinational Experience: Leverage your experience in multinational companies to navigate the complexities of a matrixed organization, ensuring the Japanese office complies with global HR policies and procedures.

People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team. Manage the performance and career growth of HR staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Communication: Facilitate clear communication between the Japan office and global HR, ensuring that the local team stays informed and engaged in corporate initiatives.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local labor laws and regulations, working closely with legal and compliance teams as needed.
Profile
* Strong command of both Japanese and English languages (spoken and written).
* Proven experience as an HR leader in multinational companies, preferably in a matrixed organization (in Japan)
* Extensive experience in people management, with a track record of developing and motivating HR teams.
* Thorough knowledge of Japanese labor laws and regulations.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive HR initiatives and contribute to the organization's success.
* Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
