Job Responsibilities:
Program/Portfolio Leadership:
- Lead multiple concurrent infrastructure initiatives or a large-scale program; define delivery strategy, governance model, and success metrics.
- Own executive-level communications: steerco updates, decision logs, escalations, and stakeholder alignment across Japan and global teams.
- Define and enforce program governance, delivery standards, and KPIs
- Own customer relationship at senior leadership / CXO level
- Drive financial management: budgeting, forecasting, margin protection
- Oversee vendor and partner performance
- Review and approve project plans, risk strategies, and delivery outcomes
- Escalation management and decision-making authority for critical issues
Advanced Delivery Governance:
- Establish and enforce PM controls: scope, integrated schedule, financial tracking, quality management, RAID, and change control across workstreams.
- Drive PMBOK-aligned artifacts (Charter/Plan/Business Case where needed) and ensure audit-ready documentation.
- Customer Engagement & Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify improvement and transformation opportunities, such as:
- Infrastructure standardization and simplification
- Cloud adoption and optimization
- Automation and operational efficiency
- Security and resilience enhancements
- Support customers in moving from reactive operations to planned modernization.
- Drive discussions beyond “task execution” toward long-term value and stability.
Vendor & Commercial Management:
- Lead vendor selection and commercial negotiations; manage contracts/SOW governance, acceptance criteria, and delivery performance.
- Technical & Operational Leadership
- Orchestrate cross-functional teams (network, cloud, systems, security, service desk) and ensure operational readiness, transition planning, and post-implementation stabilization.
Job Qualifications:
- 8–12+ years of project/program management experience with significant IT infrastructure delivery scope.
- Proven track record managing enterprise-scale delivery with executive stakeholders; strong risk and crisis management.
- Strong bilingual capability: Japanese for local stakeholder management and English for global governance and offshore coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: PMP / PRINCE2 strongly preferred; ITIL and Agile delivery experience valued.
- Experience with cloud transformation, datacenter migration, network modernization, or large workplace/office infrastructure programs
- Experience in Performing assessment of infrastructure services
- Proactively adapting to the upcoming new technological market trends
Languages: Japanese N1 certified or Native and English - Conversational
