International Business Development Executive—Tokyo, Japan

Location: Tokyo,Tokyo,Japan

Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, has an exciting opportunity for an International Business Development Executive to join our International Business Development team. This person will be considered a primary contact at Wolfram, using excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to work directly with current and potential customers in the Japanese market.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow sales by:
    • Serving as the primary point of contact to grow B2B sales and relationships in the region
    • Meeting with and/or presenting to current and prospective customers in Japan, virtually and in person
    • Utilizing our CRM to generate quotes and track quote-to-sale success
    • Executing a call/email plan to ensure all leads and potential customers receive intelligent and action-oriented next steps
    • Maintaining the sales pipeline of opportunities and closed sales as well as accurately providing forecasting information for expected sales to sales management
    • Expanding existing customers’ usage of Wolfram technology and services

Qualifications

  • A desire to network with decision makers and build/create business
  • Knowledge of the Japanese commercial, government and university markets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to network
  • Ability to articulate ideas and instructions

Location: Tokyo, Japan (alternate locations within Japan considered)

Job type: Full time (40 hours per week)/Independent Contractor
Reporting to: Regional Office Manager
