Job Description:
- A PM position focused on leveraging platforms such as Watermelon to improve system stability and enhance observability. You will lead continuous service quality improvement by advancing fault detection and prevention through the integration of logs, metrics, and traces, improving operational processes, and collaborating with relevant teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Stability Program Project Manager (Observability / SRE)
- Lead the Stability Program at the Japanese subsidiary of a major global insurance company, collaborating with teams in other regions within the client organization as well as internal teams.
- Drive improvements in observability by leveraging platforms such as Elastic and Watermelon.
- Support the reduction of P1/P2 incidents through the integration of logs, metrics, and traces.
- Address stability issues primarily at the infrastructure level (hardware, network).
- Collaborate and coordinate with existing SRE resources embedded within application teams.
- Balance short-term issue resolution with mid-to-long-term transformation of the SRE mindset.
- Serve as a bridge between Japanese and global stakeholders
Job Qualifications:
- Senior-level IT project management experience
- Deep understanding of system stability, operations, SRE, and observability
- Experience leading transformation projects across multiple team
- Solid technical understanding of SRE and observability
- Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineers
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Elastic and Watermelon is a plus
- Practical experience with cloud services is a plus
Japanese languages: Fluent level Japanese (JLPT N1) and Business level English.
