Your Career

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Leader to join our Palo Alto Networks JAPAC team based in Tokyo. As part of this specialized team, you’ll be responsible for driving our strategic go-to-market programs from planning to execution. Importantly, you will get to enjoy the benefits of working for a cybersecurity company that is experiencing double digit growth year on year. You will be a key player in the transformation of the cybersecurity market and work with stakeholders across the company to fuel awareness and demand generation across all key segments for our portfolio.

In this position, you will work closely with our broader marketing teams and agency partners to execute high performing demand generation campaigns. In addition, you will collaborate with JAPAC field marketing and sales teams to devise and execute the Japan marketing strategy to support our business growth objectives. Our ideal candidate will have experience in digital,  field, channel, demand generation, or campaign marketing in the cybersecurity industry – and a love for fast paced initiatives.

Your Impact

  • Drive, measure, and continuously optimize theatre demand gen activities for our go-to-market solutions to deliver qualified leads and opportunity conversion 
  • Communicate program status, action items, results reporting, and deliverables across marketing and sales
  • Own theatre pipeline target, lead funnel and conversion metrics for  for our go-to-market solutions and efforts to improve and optimize 
  • Lead the theatre plan for global efforts, including - product launches, global campaign releases and customer announcements
  • Work collaboratively with regional GTM campaign and content leads to influence creation and/or revision of programs and content - Re-package/revise programs to execute in the region as needed
  • Partner with the channel to align marketing efforts across your region
  • Partner with field marketing, sales and inside sales teams align efforts, discover and deploy top performing tactics to create, develop and close qualified leads and opportunities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s GTM solutions including sales history, white-space analysis, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time if permissible

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Significant background (over 10 years’ experience preferred) in a field, channel,  digital, demand generation, or campaign marketing role in the tech industry - cybersecurity experience is preferred 
  • Experience owning and partnering on marketing programs with an advanced understanding of how to measure marketing mix performance
  • Have strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills in both Japanese and English
  • Passion and skill for leading and partnering with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working shoulder to shoulder with sales teams
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Excellent communications and project management skills as well as exceptional attention to detail 
  • Aptitude to think strategically, come up with effective solutions across teams and communicate them effectively
  • Driven, self-motivated, and always looking for ways to improve efforts and results.
  • Hands-on experience in Salesforce.com, and the ability to track campaigns, leads and pull reporting
  • Hands-on experience with managing events and working trade shows
  • Deep understanding of event planning from strategy to execution 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required or equivalent military experience required
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
