Role Title: Japanese Language Expert

We are engaging Japanese Transcription Experts to contribute to a customer project focused on audio transcription and AI training. In this role, you'll apply your Japanese language expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Scope of Work
- Transcribe Japanese audio samples accurately, capturing content, context, speaker nuances, and linguistic details.
- Review, edit, and validate Japanese transcripts for completeness, clarity, and adherence to project guidelines.
- Correct errors, inconsistencies, or ambiguities in machine-generated or human-created transcriptions.
- Annotate audio files or transcripts with relevant metadata and contextual notes as required.
- Collaborate with project managers and other experts to ensure consistency and quality across deliverables.
- Use transcription tools and platforms to process and submit work according to project requirements.
- Contribute linguistic and cultural insights to improve AI model understanding and performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Native-level fluency in Japanese, with strong comprehension of both spoken and written language.
- Professional experience in audio transcription, linguistic review, localization, or related language work is strongly encouraged.
- Familiarity with transcription conventions, audio review workflows, annotation tools, or speech data projects is preferred.
- Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to recognize subtle language, pronunciation, or context differences in audio samples.
- Proficiency in English to follow project instructions and manage occasional English-language content.
- Previous participation in AI training data, data annotation, or language technology projects is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to delivering high-quality, timely submissions.
