Job Description

We are seeking a Key Account Manager to drive growth and accelerate the adoption of our innovative solutions in a market that is still developing. Based in Tokyo, you will manage strategic customers, prospect new key accounts, and help shape our commercial presence in Japan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
  • Actively prospect and generate new business opportunities within major accounts.
  • Promote and deploy our latest innovations and solutions to existing customers.
  • Prepare tenders and commercial proposals in close collaboration with internal teams (product, deployment, services, marketing).
  • Build and strengthen relationships with decision-makers from store level to C-suite.
  • Develop partnerships with integrators and ecosystem players.
  • Contribute to business plans, forecasts, and revenue targets; update CRM and share market insights.
  • Represent the company at client events and trade shows.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of successful experience as a Key Account Manager or similar role, with a proven track record in B2B sales.
  • Experience selling complex technical solutions (hardware + software + services); long sales cycles.
  • Knowledge of the retail industry is a strong asset.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • High level of autonomy, drive, and strategic prioritization skills.
  • Ability to articulate solution value and convert it into additional business.
  • Japanese: native or equivalent proficiency (spoken and written)
  • English: fluent
