Responsibilities:
- Develop enhanced laser designs to improve existing products using semiconductor material physics and optical science.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), capacity ramp-up, and stable volume production.
- Product design of DFB laser for yield improvement and cost reduction
- Design and fabricate the necessary parts for evaluation, such as submounts, as needed.
- Evaluate fabricated chips, analyze evaluation data and prepare technical reports.
- Provide customer technical support and present technical results
Expected Background:
- BSc, MSc, PhD degree in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related equivalent technical field.
- Bachelors and 6+ years of work experience, Masters and 4+ years of work experience. PhD. no relevant work experiences.
Expected Skill:
- Knowledge of compound semiconductors such as InP material system and material physics.
- Experience of semiconductor laser design and development with at least 2-3 years’ experience.
- Experience of product design for yield improvement and cost reduction of semiconductor laser diode
- Experience in analyzing large volumes of experimental data using JMP or similar statistical analysis tools.
- Knowledge of semiconductor device reliability
- Fluent Japanese speaker and intermediate English skill
- Basic PC skills, such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Programming skills, such as Excel VBA/macros and Python, are preferred.
