What a B2B Vertical and Acceptance Lead, does at Visa:
You will be working closely with the Head of CMS Japan, and the larger VCS Japan team to build and expand Visa Commercial card acceptance in Japan through active management of key acquirers, commercial merchants and launching new acceptance solutions in the Japan.
A key pillar for CMS is to drive new B2B payment flow through deep solutioning for specific high growth, high opportunities industry verticals while leveraging on Visa and / or our partners’ capabilities. This role will involve deep research on specific verticals and industry, development of specific industry or vertical knowledge, understanding of Visa assets that can be leveraged for solutioning and collaboration with partners who provide industry expertise and capabilities for the specific vertical.
You will participate in the initial scoping of research, analyzing results as well as planning and executing outreach initiatives with market teams to validate research findings by engaging with issuers, partners and industry players. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in designing and solutioning for the industry/vertical payment gaps by bringing in Visa assets, partners or even build new capabilities so that collectively, we bring the best solution to these industry verticals.
The Director represents Visa externally to the commercial merchant community and is responsible for:
Increase Visa Commercial Card acceptance in the region through active engagement with Visa clients and partners
Launch acceptance products to enable new supplier onboarding and customized solutions for supply chains
Develop, expand and deepen relationships with executives within top B2B Merchants
Oversee merchants with a consultative and strategic approach to uncover a full understanding of their card acceptance processes and challenges
Contribute active leadership to the VISA business partners and the CMS organization
Identify B2B expansion opportunities / agreements with accepting and non-accepting merchants/suppliers and expand B2B commercial volume through Acquisition/Expansion, Partnership or Relationship management
Work closely with the regional and global counterparts to further commercialize from initial prototypes and proof-of-concepts. This should include putting strategies on localization/commercialization as well as building go-to-market assets and establishing initiatives for further sell-in.
Accountable in ensuring merchants/suppliers are optimizing their acceptance environment through use of appropriate tools/solutions
Actively develop acceptance deals with suppliers/merchants to position Visa as a preferred method for commercial payment
Work closely with the MS&A team to on key priorities to drive B2B Acceptance initiatives
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
