Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

  • Sales and account Management
    • Engage stakeholders and create business results through innovative methods
    • Achieve the business target of the assigned team and contribute for business goal of the organization to which he/she belongs.
    • Drive CIB & CIC business aiming to meet or exceed business targets (cCM1 & Volumes) for respective customers
    • Implementation of CIB & CIC strategy in country and identify and implement business or value growth for respective customers/territory
    • Continuously increase market and competitor intelligence and update customers and competitor’s data (supply/demand)
    • Carry out market studies/ projects for respective end industry /customers for identifying future opportunities
    • Effective credit control and working capital management at customer to meet financial targets for DSO, DIV and overdue management
    • Negotiate and close deals or contracts with customers by taking complete customer accountability & leveraging knowledge of entire product value chain, supply capabilities and competition
    • Ensure business compliance according to BASF policy
  • Customer relationship management
    • Develop, align and execute mid- and long-term account plans, in alignment with SBU strategies
    • Identify & translate market opportunities into business through cross BU cooperation & new working concepts / ideas
    • Identify & develop differentiation strategies to improve competitive advantage by understanding customer needs, gathering & sharing of market & competitor information – Ensure value pricing whenever applicable
    • Identify and attract new customers, pursue new applications, and interact with corresponding process and product developers of the potential customers, leading to profitable future business
    • Ensure high/wide customer contacts and regular visits to customers to enhance customer centricity
  • Operational Tasks
    • Provide operational guidance and coordinate the relevant functional departments to ensure value creation and customer satisfaction
    • Accountable for Demand- and Sales Forecast and fulfilment supporting efficient planning of products and services to support production planning and local merchandising business model
    • Enhance work coherence, quality & efficiency by contributing actively in sales meetings, reporting and in developing customer training/communication materials for sales
    • Facilitate/lead effective, open and timely communications for faster decision making
    • Ensure adherence to business initiatives /tool, e.g. OMP-DP, PMM, NPS, CLM (contracting tool)
  • People development and management
    • Support people development in the team by participation in recruitment, training and development, resolve discipline and grievance. Consultation with Management or Human Resources function as appropriate.
    • Provide sales and marketing skills and expertise to enhance competency and passion and empowerment of the sales team by coaching.
    • Influence to people development in other team via direct or indirect approaches


Requirement

Education

  • Minimum Bachelor degree is necessary

Working Experience

  • 10 years of Sales & Marketing experience including leading in project management experience

Others

  • Business level of English
  • Ability to establish and maintain customer relationships and meet sales targets for each assigned account, high complexity, relatively large-scale/cross-BU customers.
  • Sets high standard, is proactive and takes ownership for results
  • Motivates and empowers other by coaching and providing in-time development resources
  • Constantly seeks feedback from manager, subordinates,peers,and customers and takes actions to improve
