Booking.com Japan K.K., one of the support companies in Japan, is seeking a full time Market Team Manager (Supply) in our lovely Tokyo office!

As a Market Team Manager (Supply) you will be responsible for leading a team of Account Managers while Collaborating with your Area Manager to improve hotel availability and supply.

The Market Team Manager (Supply) is responsible for steering your team towards maximizing business results to achieve Supply growth KPIs in Japan. You will be responsible for accelerating and retaining the growth of supply in Japan by effectively evaluating local market characteristics, trends and drivers in order to prioritize high growth regions and improve new partnerships. You will be responsible for managing and motivating people in your team through talent development, feedback and coaching. We are hoping that you are fully proficient in applying well-developed knowledge of commercial methods in the formulation of business development plans, as well as all partner interactions, especially for destinations with high business potential.

What You'll Be Doing:

Manages and coaches a team of employees to achieve both organizational and individual objectives.

Responsible for managing a Supply team consisting of Supply Managers, Supply Executives and Outbound Executives effectively

Drives the development of individuals , using frameworks and tools to motivate the team.

Responsible for expanding the partner base and supporting them to become open bookable to receive the reservations

Create a dedicated strategy to increase new supply for potential top/high value partners through acquisition and reactivation.

Focus on retention for non-managed portfolio partners

Be a critical part of growth strategy through engagement with other stakeholders

Be the market expert to increase new partnership on the industry across Japan region by understanding the spectrum of the competitors and the landscape of partners

Review team targets’ pace to ensure meeting business goals by guiding and coaching the team in planning and prioritising

Be the expert of the supply growth on the operational side to drive efficiency and effectiveness

Responsible for onboarding, training and empowering newly hired team members to optimize their performance and experience

Exhibit professional behavior and act as a role model of the Booking.com values before, during and after interactions with all stakeholders

What You'll Bring:

Strong ambitions for new supply growth in entire Japan market

Ability to take initiative acquisition /reactivation /retention activities together with own team

Enough knowledge to find the opportunities for supply growth

Experience of supply growth activities (acquisition, reactivation and retention) and enough knowledge of objection handling

Solution oriented and result driven

Strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful

Experience leading cross-functional teams in an international environment

Proactive, flexible and capable of working independently as well as working in a team

Excellent commercial skills

Excellent communication skills

Ability to multi-task & flexible attitude

Language: Japanese, English
