General Description of the Position

The primary responsibility is to manage Media Relation and PR initiatives as well as support of AB thought-leadership contents by senior member including CEO to strengthen AB Brand recognition.

Responsibility

Closely working with Head of Marketing, team member, senior member, and other related team, you will be responsible for planning, translating, writing, editing contents/messages for media relation, press release, market reports and external event attended by senior members. You will also own the PR strategy for AB Japan, and be responsible for identifying PR opportunities, writing news releases, and liaising with targeted press. In addition, to support some of additional marketing team responsibilities, such as fund report creation or servicing book/ pros book/ blog translation etc. would be ideal.

Qualification

  • Deep experience of Media relation and public relation
  • Broad knowledge and experience in asset management business and understanding of active investment strategies/products
  • Translation skill into both Japanese and English
  • Effective communication ability to work with people at all levels within/outside.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic

Required Skill Set/Competency/Job Knowledge/Experience

Quantitative

  • More than 8 years of experience in the asset management industry
  • More than 5 years of experience in media relation and public relation
  • Bilingual. Excellent oral and written communications skill both in English and Japanese
  • PC literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Qualitative

  • Exceptional verbal and written communicator
  • Well-developed creative thinking
  • A broad understanding of the asset management industry, in particular, wide range of marketing and media relation/ public relations
  • Team Work Mindset

Professional Qualification

  • Candidates should have solid knowledge about investment theory, investment technique, approach, style, disciplines, technical terminology, understanding of global financial markets, etc., which is essential for him/her to strengthen AB brand in both retail and institutional market.
