Job Description

We are looking for an experienced media planner to join our team working across a key piece of business for Publicis Media – Spotify. In this role, you will be expected to support the formation of media strategies and develop execution plans integrating online/offline, and implement PDCA cycle of the measures. Working closely with your Media Manager, as the planner you will be expected to be able to work independently, manage media executives in maintaining and improving quality of media plans, and implement/deliver the KPIs and reports.

You will also be expected to help to maintain positive relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities in more detail:

Strategy & Planning:

  • General on/off integrated media planning for digital, TV, OOH, etc. based on target analysis using various types of data.
  • Propose appropriate measures for TV, digital and other platforms according to targets and issues.
  • KPI setting and investment effect estimation based on the cross-fertilization of Internet behavioral data, purchase data, etc. with ad placement data, implementation of measures, evaluation and analysis, and proposals for improvement
  • Analysis of advertisement placement
  • Access logs to client websites and membership data
  • Contact data and viewer log data for mass advertising such as TV commercials and digital OOH
  • Combination of Japan's leading data sources, such as large-scale survey data owned by the Company, to deepen client understanding by maximizing target resolution and provide optimal media planning from a human perspective).

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Support the media manager to maintain and improve quality.
  • Support close collaboration with external partners

Financial Management:

  • Aid in managing and reporting on media budget spend to ensure effectiveness and ROI.
  • Assist with financial processes to guarantee precise invoicing and budget management.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay informed of industry trends related to your clients and its competitors.
  • Understand and apply the cultural and market-specific nuances of the Japan market to enhance campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications
  • Have at least 5+ years experience
  • Planning (TV/Digital/Media Marketing) 
  • Experience in marketing activities utilizing offline and online media at an advertising company, consulting firm, or business enterprise.
  • Knowledge of advertising media: market trends, trends and the latest information on TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, the Internet and other media.
  • Project management, schedule management, budget management, team management
  • Data processing/analysis related to various media data
  • Data analysis skills: Analyze viewership, readership, click-through rates, and other figures to optimize media selection and advertising distribution.
  • Client facing/presentation (including document preparation)
  • Identify essential issues, clarify who, what, and how to solve them, and set necessary actions and tasks.
  • Presentation skills: To be able to explain clearly and persuasively to clients and team members.
  • Collaboration with external partners
  • Communication skills: Able to communicate with a variety of people in order to plan and communicate with clients regarding requirements, budgets, negotiations with media companies, etc.
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with all types of people, including non-Japanese, with respect.
  • English ability (TOEIC score 800 or above, level of ability to provide services to clients)
