About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager / Senior Manager to lead recruitment delivery and talent acquisition strategy across Japan. This role will play a critical part in enabling business growth through the attraction and hiring of top semiconductor and technology talent in one of the world's most competitive talent markets.
As the Talent Acquisition lead for Japan, you will partner closely with business executives, hiring managers, HRBPs, and external partners to drive hiring outcomes across all engineering and corporate functions.
This position offers significant career growth potential. Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Leadership
- Lead and execute end-to-end recruitment strategies across Japan.
- Deliver hiring outcomes aligned with business growth objectives and organizational priorities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on talent market conditions and recruitment strategy
- Build strong relationships with executives, hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Semiconductor & Technology Talent Acquisition
- Develop innovative approaches to attract scarce semiconductor and technology talent across Automotive, Comunications Infrastructure, Consumer Electronics, Industrial and Emerging Innovative technologies.
- Provide market intelligence, talent mapping, competitor insights, and hiring recommendations.
- Build proactive pipelines for critical and difficult-to-fill positions.
Recruitment Operations & Delivery Excellence
- Drive recruitment performance against hiring targets, quality, speed, candidate experience, and diversity objectives.
- Utilize recruitment data and analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure consistent execution of hiring processes and compliance with company standards and local labor regulations.
- Continuously improve recruitment processes to enhance efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
RPO & Agency Management
- Lead strategic governance of Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) suppliers and external search partners.
- Establish clear performance expectations and service level agreements.
- Conduct regular business reviews and performance assessments with recruitment partners.
- Optimize sourcing effectiveness, cost efficiency, and hiring quality through vendor management.
Employer Branding & Talent Market Engagement
- Strengthen the company's employer brand within Japan's semiconductor and technology market.
- Develop relationships with universities, professional associations, industry networks, and key talent communities.
- Support diversity hiring, early career hiring, and strategic talent pipelining initiatives.
Regional & Global Collaboration
- Partner with APAC and global Talent Acquisition teams to share best practices and drive recruitment innovation.
- Participate in regional and global talent initiatives, workforce planning discussions, and TA transformation programs.
- Contribute to future TA operating model, process improvement, and AI-enabled recruiting solutions.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years (Manager) or 10+ years (Senior Manager) of Talent Acquisition, Executive Search, Recruitment Consulting, or related experience.
- Proven experience recruiting within semiconductor, electronics, advanced technology, engineering, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success filling highly specialized technical positions in competitive talent markets.
- Strong knowledge of Japan recruitment practices and labor market dynamics.
- Experience leading relationships with RPO providers, recruitment agencies, and executive search firms.
- Ability to influence and partner with leaders at multiple organizational levels.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Business-level Japanese and English language proficiency.
Preferred
- Experience supporting multinational organizations.
- Experience managing recruiters or leading recruitment teams.
- Knowledge of semiconductor industry talent trends and competitive landscape across Japan and APAC.
- Experience utilizing talent analytics, talent intelligence, and AI-enabled recruiting tools.
- Exposure to regional or global Talent Acquisition programs.
