Position: Nuclear Engineer, Fuel Cycle
Type: Contract
Compensation: $65–$75/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

  • Write challenging single-turn prompts in the nuclear materials domain, labeled as benign, dual-use, and adversarial.
  • Evaluate AI model responses against defined policy standards to ensure correct handling.
  • Write reference answers with technical reasoning for correct responses.
  • Collaborate with experts to draw reliable lines between routine and potentially dangerous queries.
  • Work independently and asynchronously to improve AI model judgment in nuclear materials.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Experience in enrichment, reprocessing, fabrication, or criticality safety.
  • Ability to distinguish routine engineering questions from potentially dangerous ones.
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to provide written rationale.

Preferred

  • Red-teaming experience in nuclear materials and safeguards.
  • Prior technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience.
