Position: Nuclear Engineer, Fuel Cycle
Type: Contract
Compensation: $65–$75/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Write challenging single-turn prompts in the nuclear materials domain, labeled as benign, dual-use, and adversarial.
- Evaluate AI model responses against defined policy standards to ensure correct handling.
- Write reference answers with technical reasoning for correct responses.
- Collaborate with experts to draw reliable lines between routine and potentially dangerous queries.
- Work independently and asynchronously to improve AI model judgment in nuclear materials.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Experience in enrichment, reprocessing, fabrication, or criticality safety.
- Ability to distinguish routine engineering questions from potentially dangerous ones.
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to provide written rationale.
Preferred
- Red-teaming experience in nuclear materials and safeguards.
- Prior technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience.
