Description
Ocean Freight Export team leader
Main tasks:
・To negotiate with carriers, warehouse operators, subcontractor to determine tariffs which should be in the interests of the company at all times.
・Monitor the team the ensure daily operations are followed & completed
・To interact with overseas branches/counterparts for immediate resolution of operational matters
・To be responsible for all customer complaints and resolution of all claims, occurred issues
・Closely cooperate with other teams (sales, pricing/tender Management, accounting) to ensure whole process is smoothly handled
・To pay attention to the files performance including the checking of all invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and Customs regulations.
・Check P&L carefully on department job files & highlight if any issue (loss/high cost)
・Responsible for training of new staffs on SOP/KPI as well as company/department policies
・Communicate with network, Terminal Agencies, Carriers, Vendors to ensure all cargoes are properly arranged in line with customer's, carriers, local authorities requirements
・Timely update external/internal announcements (port announcement, terminal regulations, customer profiles, contracts…)
Decision-making authority: Makes decisions on content together with others
Profile
More than 5 years forwarding experience
Fluent Japanese ＆ English both in written and speaking
