BUSINESS UNIT

The Payment unit owns the end-to-end customer journey from technical consultative selling, over delivery up to smooth ongoing operations for customers of HRS payment solutions. The business unit is responsible for understanding customer requirements, demonstrating the value and capabilities of HRS payment solution offerings, addressing technical inquiries, and building trust with prospects as well as existing HRS payment customers. The more corporate clients use PAY, the more third-party partners such as banks, card issuers, ERPs, booking platforms and other financial service providers want to partner and collaborate with us, and this drives further commercial growth for PAY by monetizing these partnership streams.

We are looking for a PAY Consultant (All genders) based in Tokyo, with a passion for delivering great results to ensure our further growth as well as the successful launch of our HRS PAY products.

CHALLENGE

  • Provide consultative support to clients by understanding their unique payment challenges, offering expert advice on payment solutions, and guiding them in making informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design the payment solution, lead requirement engineering and define all requirements so that delivery/implementation teams know exactly what to implement
  • Proactively support sales teams in identifying strategic targets for HRS PAY solutions
  • Identify areas for strategic expansion of HRS PAY and negotiate on strategic topics with external partners
  • Collaborate with HRS payment ecosystem partners (e.g. credit card providers) to identify alignment needs and problem solving for customers along selling and solution design phases.
  • Work closely with product development, marketing and other relevant teams (e.g. supplier solutions) to ensure a cohesive approach to developing and promoting payment solutions in your respective market. Provide valuable input based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Be the first point of contact for corporate clients and external partners for all questions related to HRS PAY solutions and implementation
  • Stay up-to-date with the company’s payment products, technologies and go-to-market strategy. Lead product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the technical capabilities and benefits of the payment solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to customize payment solutions according to client needs. Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during the sales process and ensure effective resolution.
  • Provide transparency and regularly communicate to leadership on the status of technical sales based on input and output metrics.
  • Act as internal subject matter expert (SME) on HRS PAY and virtual payments for HRS sales, product, and marketing teams
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to offer strategic insights that align with the client’s business goals.
  • Regularly provide training sessions to foster payment knowledge within Japan

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

  • Min. 3 years in a product marketing role in a Fin Tech, Payment, SAAS or B2B company
  • Positioning: ability to develop effective positioning strategies to communicate their value proposition to the target B2B audience.
  • Market and Customer Understanding: Proficiency in conducting market research, analyzing data, and identifying customer needs to tailor marketing strategies that resonate with B2B customers.
  • Messaging and Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to create compelling product messaging and sales collateral for different marketing channels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and marketing communications, to ensure successful product launches and campaigns.
  • Analytical and Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to analyze data, monitor marketing performance metrics, and use insights to make informed decisions and continuously optimize marketing efforts for better results.
  • Fluent in Japanese and English both spoken and written.

LOCATION, MOBILITY, INCENTIVE

The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual bonus.
