Description
* Monitor and maintain system reliability and performance.
* Implement and manage infrastructure automation tools.
* Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system architecture.
* Ensure adherence to best practices for system security and compliance.
* Optimize system scalability and resource allocation.
* Document processes and prepare technical reports as needed.
* Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent system concerns.
Profile
* 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field, including hands-on DevOps or SRE responsibilities.
* Strong expertise administering Databricks at enterprise scale, including workspace management, cluster policies, Unity Catalog, job orchestration, and governance.
* Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and services such as IAM, networking, object storage, and cloud cost management.
* Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and building automated CI/CD pipelines.
* Strong scripting and automation skills in Python and/or Bash/Shell.
* Solid understanding of security best practices, including RBAC, secrets management, network isolation, and audit logging.
* Experience implementing observability, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and SRE best practices.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, analytics, security, and business stakeholders.
* Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and automation.
