PMO - IT Strategy & Governance

Within the scope of the IT Department Strategy & Governance (PMO) operations, we will carefully choose each IT project, develop projects with medium- to long-term objectives, prioritize PJ activities, and handle requests from other internal departments. Advocate and guide the business through effective governance. Anticipated growth in global projects is expected in the future, with an increasing need for communication with the US headquarters. Our objective is not focused on enhancing guest experience or improving the efficiency of various internal departments' work. This role is tasked with undertaking the governance function of the IT department, contributing to the optimization of content, cost, and schedule for each PJ, and executing IT projects more efficiently.
Roles and responsibilities
* Formulation of priorities and plans for the execution of various projects in the IT department
* Rating of priorities in each IT project
* Collecting requests related to IT from each department, and installing and operating windows for that purpose
* Logical information organization to judge Go / Not-Go in response to requests
* Understanding and coordinating Dependency between each PJs
* Creating a Wish List for the next year's project
* Formulation of Wish-List within the department with an awareness of the next fiscal year
* Approximate budget, schedule and explanation / proposal to superiors of its validity
* Adjustment of necessary budget
* Budget coordination with US headquarters
* Understanding the contents of PJs, which have a particularly high priority, and explaining to the US Finance Team
* Support for Capex / Opex judgment in each PJ
* Formulation of LRP / medium to long-term plan
* Organizing various projects to be implemented in the medium to long term
* Understanding items and situations that require implementation of EOL, etc.
* Collaboration with portfolio team
* Engage with the portfolio team at all times to understand budget and execution
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in the following:
* Experience in coordinating priorities and making implementation decisions related to the entire IT project in a company
* Internal / external IT consulting experience *Not limited to consulting-firms
* Experience in creating and presenting logical materials, deck related to the status of project execution within the department (internally) for internal / external purposes. Better if it is in English.
* Project management experience in software development, SaaS implementation, e-commerce, sales management, DB management, etc.
* Pre-Sales, experience of receiving IT requirements and completing them, both inside and outside a company
* Understanding the adequacy of estimated costs in the IT industry
* Experience in promoting global projects
* Management and support experience in budget, forecast and actual management and resource management
* Native level Japanese
* Business-level English
* A team player who can quickly and politely collaborate with internal and external collaborators.
* Understands the importance of communication and able to properly coordinate various events among stakeholders.
* Those who can take things positively and support the promotion of the project with proactive ownership.
* Those who can grasp things logically and logically output their own opinions from their understanding.
* Curiosity about new technologies and services in IT
* Those who can involve people across the organization.
* At least 5 ppl management experience and experience with subordinates.
