Position Summary

Guardant Health Japan is seeking a highly motivated Product Marketing Specialist to support the development and execution of product marketing initiatives across our oncology portfolio.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to product marketing, healthcare professional engagement, and commercial strategy within a rapidly growing precision oncology company. Working closely with Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and external partners, the Product Marketing Specialist will play a key role in supporting promotional campaigns, educational programs, digital initiatives, scientific congresses, and product launch activities.

The successful candidate will combine strong project management skills with a customer-focused mindset and a passion for executing high-impact marketing programs. This position also provides a strong development pathway toward future Product Management responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes but are not limited to)

Product Marketing Support

  • Support the development and execution of product marketing strategies and tactical plans.

  • Assist with market research, competitive intelligence, customer insights gathering, and market trend analysis.

  • Support the development of product positioning, key messages, and value propositions for target customer segments.

  • Contribute to product launch planning and execution activities.

  • Support sales teams in understanding and incorporating product marketing strategies and key messages into customer engagements and daily field activities.

Promotional Materials & Content Development

  • Develop and manage promotional materials, digital assets, presentation slides, and other marketing resources in collaboration with Medical Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance stakeholders.

  • Coordinate review, approval, production, and distribution processes for marketing materials.

  • Ensure content accuracy, consistency, and alignment with approved product messaging.

  • Support website content updates and digital marketing initiatives through collaboration with internal stakeholders and external agencies.

Events, Congresses & Professional Education Programs

  • Plan and execute promotional and educational programs, including seminars, webinars, speaker programs, and customer engagement activities.

  • Coordinate participation in national and regional congresses, exhibitions, and scientific meetings.

  • Manage communications with healthcare professionals, speakers, vendors, and agency partners.

  • Oversee event logistics, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.

  • Support post-event reporting and performance evaluation.

Marketing Operations & Project Management

  • Manage project timelines and coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure timely completion of marketing initiatives.

  • Maintain marketing calendars and support campaign planning processes.

  • Coordinate external vendors and agency partners to ensure quality and efficiency of deliverables.

  • Support budget tracking, purchase order management, and administrative processes related to marketing activities.

  • Assist in analyzing program effectiveness and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of marketing experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, medical device, or healthcare industry.

  • Demonstrated experience in HCP marketing communications, including promotional material development and the planning and execution of seminars, webinars, congresses, and educational programs.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oncology experience.

  • Sales (Medical Representative) experience.

  • Experience supporting product launch initiatives and digital marketing programs.
