Position Overview
This position will provide 15 months of coverage (July 2026 - October 2027) and serve as the primary IT liaison supporting the Japan Marketing, Sales, and Service organizations.
The role is responsible for coordinating activities between local business stakeholders, global IT teams, and external vendors to ensure continuity of ongoing operations, projects, and application support activities.
The focus of the role is business-facing coordination, stakeholder management, vendor management, operational support, and project delivery rather than hands-on technical engineering or software development activities.
We are seeking a mid-level to senior-level professional who can work independently and effectively manage relationships across multiple teams in a global environment.
Typical Responsibilities:
Business & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as a point of contact between Japan business stakeholders and Global IT.
  • Coordinate business requests, enhancement activities, and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate communication between business users, vendors, and global delivery teams.
  • Support local Sales, Marketing, and Service organizations with ongoing IT-related activities.
Project & Delivery Coordination
  • Coordinate ongoing projects, enhancements, testing activities, and deployments.
  • Support UAT, validation activities, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
  • Track actions, risks, and project deliverables across multiple initiatives.
  • Support transition and operational readiness activities.
Vendor Management
  • Coordinate activities across multiple external service providers.
  • Review estimates, track deliverables, and manage vendor communications.
  • Support governance and operational review activities.
  • Coordinate application support and enhancement activities across multiple business systems.
Financial & Administrative Activities
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and cross-charge activities.
  • Coordinate purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice processing.
  • Support software renewals and contract-related activities.
  • Maintain operational and financial documentation.
Operational Support
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Support application ownership activities for commercial systems.
  • Coordinate vulnerability remediation, access requests, and operational tasks.
  • Maintain documentation and knowledge repositories.
The ideal candidate would have:
  • Native Japanese and business-level English.
  • Experience in application ownership, business analysis, solution delivery, project coordination, or business relationship management.
  • Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
  • Experience working within multinational organizations and global teams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Experience supporting Sales, Marketing, Service, or other commercial business functions is preferred.
Additional Information
  • 10-15 years of experience on the application side is preferred.
  • The successful candidate will act as the customer representative and coordinate with multiple vendors and stakeholders.
  • Native Japanese is preferred; fluent Japanese is acceptable.
  • English communication is mandatory as the reporting manager is based in the USA.
