Japan is one of the key pioneering countries for the deployment of those technologies and Air Liquide Advanced Technologies Japan is currently executing Projects of H2 refueling station (HRS) for passenger cars and buses, as well as diverse cryogenic (CRYO) engineering projects, with active plans to further expand its combined portfolio in both fields.
Within the division ALAT Japan is responsible for the design and the production of clean energy solutions, focusing on hydrogen infrastructure (hydrogen refueling stations for cars, buses, trucks; hydrogen production and treatment for semiconductor production) and cryogenic equipment (helium liquefaction units, helium refrigeration units, liquefied gas storage and distribution systems) for research institutes in material research, fusion and quantum computing. ALAT Japan design, produce, and sell the equipment or facilities' solutions, provide related engineering and post sale services in Japan and in Korea to external and internal customers.
Project Engineer Mission
As a Project Engineer (PE) mission, he/she is in charge of the overall implementation of both Hydrogen and Cryogenic projects, including process control, determination of detailed specifications, piping/mechanical layout validation, commissioning planning and implementation, especially safety management and project completion in field construction and commissioning.
Coordinate with third parties, vendors and subcontractors involved to meet contract requirements within allocated budgets and deliver projects on time and securely.

Support Product and Project Managers in validating technical specifications to ensure the development of safe and reliable hydrogen and cryogenic infrastructure.
Act as the technical interface with the Group’s international and domestic engineering networks to ensure alignment with global standards.

Utilize standardized templates to draft comprehensive maintenance and service proposals for mechanical and cryogenic systems.
Prepare core technical deliverables, engineering data packages, and detailed cost estimations for project proposals.

Project Engineers are assigned to one or more projects, working closely with the project team (particularly the Project Manager).
They own the project’s design and engineering tasks, with a strong focus on managing subcontractors and suppliers, especially during the construction phase.

- Lead multi-disciplinary engineering tasks within the project framework, including detailed design, PFD/P&ID creation, equipment layout, technical specifications, and electrical/process control systems.
- Maintain, track, and control the master project technical documentation and deliverables list.
- Validate local mechanical and piping layouts, perform comprehensive vendor quotation comparisons, and track end-to-end procurement.
- Oversee overall system integration and construction, including piping, assembly, and wiring in collaboration with sub-vendors.
- Organize and lead structural design reviews with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all design and safety validation action items are tracked and resolved.
- Act as the technical point of contact with customers, project managers, and the business development team, particularly for managing custom or special requirements.

- Evaluate, select, and validate equipment suppliers and subcontractors (for piping, skids, and key components).
- Prepare detailed technical specifications for Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) related to equipment purchases and mechanical/piping installation contracts.
- Conduct technical clarification meetings with vendors and subcontractors to drive objective and rigorous technical bid evaluations.
- Monitor and review vendor manufacturing progress and engineering document submissions; actively participate in final inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).

- Compile necessary technical documentation and participate in clarification meetings with regulatory authorities (e.g., KHK, prefecture inspectors) to ensure construction and operating authorizations are obtained on schedule.
- Manage Purchase Orders (POs) and track customer contract milestones to ensure alignment with project execution.
- Prepare pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures and operational manuals, ensuring all site-specific design modifications (MOC) are strictly controlled.
- Lead on-site pre-commissioning, active commissioning, and final equipment performance testing to guarantee operational readiness.
- Manage on-site construction subcontractors, piping installation, field execution, and strict compliance with local contractor safety standards.

- Participate in the project capitalization process (Lessons Learned) to continuously improve product lines, field services, and cost efficiency.
- Provide engineering-level support to local commissioning and maintenance teams for site upgrades, advanced troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of field issues.

2. 3+ years or longer experiences in Engineering
3. 1st class piping contruction management engineer, Hig Pressure gas production manage, electrical and control background will be a plus
4. Fluent in Japanese and basic English communication skill
