MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions is a global supplier of industrial metal and plastic finishing chemistries. We primarily design and manufacture chemical systems that protect and decorate surfaces. Our high-performance functional coatings improve resistance to wear and tear, such as hard chrome plating of shock absorbers for cars or provide corrosion resistance for appliance parts. Our decorative performance coatings apply finishes for parts in various end markets such as automotive interiors or jewelry surfaces. Job Purpose

The Purchasing Officer executes local, site-specific Sourcing Strategy and mainly focus on purchase of raw materials、Finish goods and indirect /services to ensure site operational needs, taking into account sourcing strategy, price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply. This includes assisting in improving supplier quality and resolve relevated quality/sourcing issues. This role reports to site purchasing manager and can work well individually. He or she works in close coordination with Regional Sourcing Managers, as well as local Supply Chain. In addition, assists in managing strategic suppliers’ relationship and interfaces between internal customers and suppliers. The role also needs to support the local operation team for Capex/indirect projects.

Job Responsibilities

1.Work with operations team on material purchasing plan to support production. Ensure continuous of material supply;

2.Sourcing new raw materials (using Iris/Codebook) to achieve company’s strategic goal for SCM optimization;

3.Escalate material supply issue and work with the team within region and globally on potential path forward;

4.Confirm the required quantity of RM according to the plan every day to ensure meet the customer’s request;

5.Ensure that contracts with regional and global vendors are actively managed in terms of pricing, rebates, quantities committed, etc.; must assure contract periods are tracked and maintained;

6.Purchase finish goods, materials, components ,or services in line with specified sourcing strategy, cost, quality and deliver targets; assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers;

7.Manage Local Suppliers and identify, evaluate and implement opportunities which optimize costs at the site level;

8.Responsible for purchasing precursor chemicals, explosive chemicals and highly toxic chemicals inputting the purchase quantity or applying for purchase certificates in the public security bureau system in time, make all the relate documents according to the ruler of public security bureau, ensure all transactions are legal;

9.Execution of ESI Sourcing and Purchasing Strategy at site level. Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies, and Quality and EHS procedures;

10.Ensure that contracts with vendors are actively managed in terms of pricing, rebates, quantities committed, etc.; must assure contract periods are tracked and maintained;

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in purchasing or similar role, minimum 3 years focus on purchasing of chemicals.
• Proactive, positive attitude, with proven logical thinking ability.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Good command of English, CET-4/6 preferred.
