Rakuten Mobile / Store Construction and Facility Management - Shop Operation Section , Shop Operation Department , Area Business Supervisory Department

Job Description:

Department Overview

Our division is responsible for creating customer touchpoints through offline channels and driving business growth, with a primary focus on the operation of Rakuten Mobile shops. Our shops are more than just points of contract; they serve as the "front line of customer engagement," playing a vital role in supporting the brand experience by offering a cross-section of Rakuten Group services, including telecommunications, fintech, and e-commerce.

Shop Operation Section serves as the "strategic hub" for retail operations. We oversee everything from the development of our physical store network and backend call center functions to the product development of systems and devices that streamline in-store operations.

Within the Shop Construction and Maintenance Group, we lead the optimization of design and construction for store rollouts and manage the entire lifecycle of our store infrastructure. Beyond mere maintenance, our mission is to establish a highly reproducible store-opening scheme by accumulating and standardizing knowledge from rollout projects. Our ultimate goal is to provide an optimal environment for both our customers and "R CREW" (employees) by creating attractive stores through strategic design, maintenance, and the effective use of equipment and fixtures.

Position:

Why We Hire

With the expansion of the Rakuten Mobile shop business, we need to strengthen our organizational structure to promote new store openings and the maintenance/facility management of existing stores in a stable and efficient manner. As shops are critical customer touchpoints, balancing rollout speed with quality, along with maintaining the infrastructure that supports daily operations, is essential to our business growth. We are looking for a candidate who can help establish a highly reproducible store construction and operation system by standardizing design/construction management, facility/fixture management, and repair protocols.

- Negotiation, selection, and strengthening of management systems for contractors.

- Formulating and executing mid-to-long-term plans to optimize facilities and equipment across all stores.

- Building and systematizing procurement, management, and distribution flows for store fixtures and equipment.
