Key job responsibilities include:

  • Understand and apply the most effective process technology(MET). Liquid chemical batch process equipment and control.
  • Working with shopfloor teammate and other functions to meet/exceed business and plant specific goals (safety, quality, reliability, cost, etc)
  • Own a part of the production organization’s KPIs. Monitor, report, and take action to improve it.
  • Implement and initiates change under the concept of operational excellence. Ensure relevant valid documents, standardized, and up to date following MOC process of the site
  • Understands and applies Statistical Process Control (SPC) skills and knowledge in manufacturing process, accountable for the manufacturing quality performance of responsible products
  • Maintenance production master data for production planning and operation management in enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Troubleshooting of manufacturing processes and/or equipment. Respond any out of control or equipment failure with shopfloor operations teammate, Engineer leads root cause investigation (RCI) and corrective/preventive actions implementation
  • Building a strong network with subject matter experts as a part of global team to leverage knowledge and best practices on plant operations.
  • Leading a training of technical information and issues to shopfloor personnel.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree of Science or Engineering, chemical or mechanical background is preferred
  • Both Japanese and English, fluent in speaking and writing.
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills in multi-discipline and/or cross-geographic team
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new knowledge and skills
  • Open minded, embrace change

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Problem solving and continuous improvement skill and experience, like Six Sigma, RCI, Lean, etc
  • Working experience in a manufacturing site, specialty chemical industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO14001. IATF16949
  • Familiarity with semiconductor industry, Process Safety and/or project management process
