Job Description

Essential Functions:
1. Qualify incoming calls, emails and a segment of web leads, conduct calls to prospects to turn them into
opportunities and sales.
2. Be responsible for conducting outbound campaigns in conjunction with the field sales engineers.
3. Deliver qualified leads to the field sales engineers and work with them to increase the sales pipeline.
4. Sell Cognex products to prospects primarily via the telephone or electronic channels.
5. Maintain contacts with existing customers as well as develop new customers in order to achieve or exceed sales objectives.
6. Ensure leads are being followed up in a timely manner, manage leads to sales activity.
7. Assist in marketing activities. Drive registrations and attendance to events.
8. Track all activities and customer interactions, enter complete data and information into CRM to provide
adequate support to the field sales.
9. Offer lead Cognex value, making a positive impression, creating future demand, and becoming trusted
advisors.
10. Conduct market intelligence research on new factories expansion plans, investment plans, upcoming
trends and market situation of responsible territories.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Keeps up-to-date knowledge and insight of the industry, as well as the competitive posture of the
company, and prepares activity and forecast reports as requested.
2. Maintains thorough knowledge of company products, systems and services.
3. Good understanding of sales and marketing process with industrial or automation products
4. Knowledge and experience working with Customer Relationship Management software to manage
business.
5. Uses defined sales process to deliver desired results on a consistent basis.
6. Field or Inside Sales, Telesales, Lead Qualification skills in B2B Engineering or Manufacturing are
preferred.
7. Sales minded, outgoing, energetic, motivated, and have excellent communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently is required, and good team player as well.
9. Verbal and written English is required.
10. Experience of Machine Vision or ID industry is a plus.
Minimum education and work experience required:
1. Bachelor’s degree (Technical Degree preferred)
2. Minimum 2 year and more working experience on the phone in a sales function in high-tech, multi
international company.
