Description
The Security Engineer supports the protection of OIST’s information assets, systems, and research environment, enabling secure and reliable research, education, and institutional operations.
Working as part of the information security team, the role contributes to daytoday security operations, including monitoring, incident response support, and the operation of security controls. Depending on experience, responsibilities are carried out independently or under guidance from senior staff, with opportunities to develop practical information security skills aligned with international standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Reporting to the Information Security Manager, the Security Engineer supports the ongoing delivery and improvement of OIST’s information security program.

本ポジションは情報セキュリティチームの一員として、日常的なセキュリティ運用に携わります。業務には、監視、インシデント対応の支援、セキュリティコントロールの運用などが含まれます。担当範囲は経験に応じて独立して実施する場合と、シニアスタッフの指導のもとで対応する場合があります。また、ISO/IEC 27001 や NIST Cybersecurity Framework といった国際基準に沿って、実践的な情報セキュリティスキルを習得・向上させる機会があります。
セキュリティエンジニアは、情報セキュリティマネジャーの指揮のもと、OIST の情報セキュリティプログラムの継続的な運用および改善に貢献します。
