Overview of the role

Euromonitor International is seeking a commercially minded, data-savvy Senior Analyst to join our Tokyo-based research team, with a strong focus on client engagement and delivering insights to clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys using data to answer business questions, working directly with clients, and helping them apply insights to real business decisions. Final job level and title will be commensurate with experience.

You will use Passport, our global market intelligence platform, to deliver insights to leading Japanese multinational clients in consumer goods and services to support their global expansion strategy. This is a client-facing role that works closely with commercial teams and has limited hands-on responsibility for producing original research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with a portfolio of Japanese multinational client accounts. Work proactively with clients to conduct trade interviews and validate sales data to improve data quality and ensure the data is useful for their business needs.
  • Use existing Passport data and tailor content to deliver actionable localized insights to clients within the consumer goods and services industries across Japan and Asia Pacific.
  • Lead and support client meetings to advise clients on how to use Euromonitor’s market data to support strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including research, consulting, and sales, to align client needs with the most relevant data, insights, and commercial solutions.
  • Present at client events and industry conferences.

Requirements

  • Right to work in Japan.
  • Business fluency in Japanese and English.
  • 3-5 years of experience in market research, consulting, or client-facing insights roles.
  • Experience in packaged food or beauty industries is preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to explain data and market trends clearly to clients.
  • A collaborative, commercially aware mindset, with confidence engaging stakeholders at various seniority levels.
