About this role:
As a Senior Marketing Manager based in Japan, you will serve as Udemy's on-the-ground marketing owner in the region and the key strategic liaison with our partner Benesse, ensuring both organizations are aligned on strategy and execution. You will lead comprehensive marketing strategies that drive growth across the B2B market, managing complex campaigns and events while optimizing the collaboration between Udemy and Benesse teams. The ideal candidate moves fluidly between big-picture strategy and hands-on execution, developing innovative approaches that leverage the unique strengths of both organizations to expand reach and maximize impact.
About your skills:
Marketing Strategy: You develop and implement comprehensive plans to allocate resources effectively, increase sales, and achieve competitive advantage by connecting organizational capabilities with customer needs across B2B markets in Japan, leveraging both Udemy and Benesse strengths.
Campaign Planning: You create comprehensive strategies to achieve long-term marketing objectives by coordinating activities, resources, and phases across multiple teams and stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion while aligning Udemy and Benesse initiatives.
Demand Generation: You design and implement targeted marketing programs that drive awareness and interest in our products and services for both consumer and business audiences, creating measurable impact on pipeline growth and customer acquisition through strategic collaboration with Benesse.
Partnership Management: You serve as the strategic bridge between Udemy and Benesse, building, maintaining, and optimizing this critical partnership while fostering collaboration that drives mutual value and ensures both organizations' resources are leveraged effectively to achieve shared objectives in Japan.
Field Marketing & Events: You plan and execute end-to-end field events — conferences, trade shows, webinars, and customer events — owning everything from strategy and vendor logistics to on-the-ground execution as a hands-on, one-person operation.
