The Role
Join our QA Foundation Team, where we focus on ensuring the quality and smooth delivery of the SmartNews application. As part of this team, you'll play a key role in developing and maintaining test automation for both Android and iOS platforms. Your goal? Enhance test coverage, streamline manual processes, and expedite our release schedule—all while maintaining the high standards our users expect.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Create and improve test automation framework
- Write and maintain integration and E2E test cases in web and mobile application
- Perform Shift-Left Testing by collaborating with engineers in improving continuous integration and delivery pipeline
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand how features should be tested based on users' behavior
- Closely co-work with vendors in integrating manual and automated tests
- Build and maintain distributed systems for test parallelization and automation infrastructure to increase productivity
Requirements
Minimum requirements
- At least 3-year experience in web services and/or mobile app QA work
- Has experience in developing test automation solutions in Swift/Kotlin, Python/Ruby or Javascript
- Experience in release delivery and management of iOS/Android app
- High level of proficiency in at least 1 programming language
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Professional business level in English
Nice to have skills/experiences
- Experience in development for iOS and/or Android
- Experience in improving development processes through automation
- Knowledge of web development and server-side development
- Experience living overseas
- Experience working in a team together with members from multiple countries
- Has experience with machine learning systems
- Japanese language skills
