Air Liquide Laboratories is one of the main R&D centers of the Air Liquide group. Its goal is to develop new and innovative solutions for the entire Air Liquide group. Air Liquide Laboratories is located at Innovation Campus Tokyo, inaugurated in March 2019. The new facility promotes collaboration with customers, start-up companies and academic partners. The Campus develops the latest thin film deposition and etching technologies for applications in electronics, batteries and fuel cells, as well as strategies and solutions for the entire supply chain, production, purification, storage, transportation and distribution of low carbon hydrogen.

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled chemist with extensive experience in the design, synthesis and purification of organometallic and/or silicon-based compounds.
The main responsibilities will be:
Design and synthesis of organometallic and silicon-based compounds and purification
Analysis using NMR, TGA, DSC, mass spectrometry, etc.
Support of ALD/CVD deposition tool maintenance
Timely and concise reporting (R&D reports, patent applications, internal meetings, customer meetings, etc.)
Lead and organize the tasks within work packages/project
Mentoring junior scientists and interns
Support interactions within AL group and with other customers
Join the safety activities

Are you a MATCH?
Minimum: Related master degree with 5 year experience, Preferred: PhD with some additional experience or Postdoc
Languages: English : Business level required. E-mail exchanges and meetings are held in English. Japanese: Conversation level preferred.
Fully autonomous scientist
Being experienced in handling pyrophoric, toxic, and combustible materials is a strong asset; the chemist would need to timely learn if not experienced
Experience in CVD/ALD is preferred
Experience in a private or academic R&D lab handling gases is preferred
Effective team player, communication skills, working in an international environment
Can face challenging problems
関連する分野の修士号取得後、5年以上の経験を有する方、関連する分野での博士号取得後、他企業もしくは大学・研究所での研究業務経験をお持ちの方優遇いたします。
語学力:英語:ビジネスレベル必須。社内公用語は英語です(メール、ミーティング等)。日本語: 会話レベルであれば尚可。
発火性物質、毒性物質、可燃性物質の取り扱いの経験があれば尚可
CVD/ALDの経験があれば尚可
