Job Responsibilities:
- System Development Leadership:
- Lead the system design and development of ADAS products.
- Analyze and deploy customer requirements to development teams.
- Manage system requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensure the appropriate balance of Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD).
- Project Management:
- Manage R&D schedules and project timelines.
- Track development milestones.
- Manage engineering changes through Change Management.
- Lead and participate in system design reviews.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering teams including:
- Software
- System Design
- Mechatronics
- Validation
- Functional Safety
- Cyber Security
- Configuration Management
- Coordinate technical activities and drive project execution across these teams.
- Customer Communication:
- Participate in technical meetings with Japanese automotive OEM customers.
- Respond to customer technical requirements.
- Explain technical concepts and negotiate specifications with customers.
- Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis, including FTA.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues.
- Promote continuous improvement activities.
- Improve overall design quality.
Job Qualification:
- Experience in ADAS system development.
- Experience in the automotive industry or embedded systems development.
- Leadership experience in system development projects.
Preferred Qualification:
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE.
- Familiarity with in-vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and FlexRay.
- Experience with quality improvement methodologies such as DRBFM and FTA.
- Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis.
- Project management experience.
- Experience using AI tools such as Gemini to improve engineering workflows or business processes.
Language proficiency: Business Level Japanese (JLPT N2) and Business Level english.
