About the Role:
The Talent Acquisition Manager will act as a player/coach, managing a small team of Talent Advisors and recruit for critical open positions, as necessary. In addition to developing and executing local and regional recruiting strategies, they will coach and mentor their team to do the same while ensuring alignment with HARMAN EVP and overall business strategy.
What You Will Do:
Lead the Talent Acquisition function focused on delivery of top talent for HARMAN in Japan and Asia Pacific region.
Manage requisitions as necessary for backup and support
Support TA Compliance for respective region
Provide regular updates to Business Leaders, HR Leaders, Talent leaders and other stakeholders as appropriate on key metrics and success of team
Interview and select candidates for open positions
Master the use of recruiting reporting tools available to provide effective updates to leadership
Integrate HARMAN’s brand strategy into all recruitment activity
Oversee and ensure all pertinent applicant and interview documentation and data in applicant tracking system
Proactively escalate complex recruitment challenges as needed
Apply results-driven approach to build and deliver foundation of global dashboard and metrics including cost-per-hire, time-to-fill, diversity and quality of hire with plans for improvement.
In alignment with global Employer Brand develop compelling and inspirational regional messaging strategy to tell the HARMAN story across internal and external channels
Drive Diversity, Equity & Inclusion best practices throughout the attraction and selection process
Share competitive market intelligence with Leaders and TA teams
Oversee recruiting projects and programs for the Region while supporting global initiatives as needed
What You Need:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5-10 years of recruiting experience
Proven ability to lead and develop a team of recruiters.
Strong customer focus and effective use of consultative approach with internal clients
Experience managing diverse teams focused on delivering exceptional talent to internal customers
Strong knowledge of recruitment/hiring laws and practices
What is Nice to Have:
Recruiting experience within Hi-Tech industries
Ability and flexibility to recruit across a variety of functional roles
Understanding of Workday and Avature
Experience leading TA teams in a tech industry
What Makes You Eligible:
Willingness to travel 5 % within the region
This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with occasional trips into the office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)
