About the Role
We are looking for a Tech Lead to design/develop key projects for Harman Remote Vehicle Updating Service (OTA) and device management, which is the most advanced and proven solution for Automotive/Mobile OEMs and Suppliers. Having responsibility for designing, implementation/code
review, unit test of the system components and leading to improve technical level of team members, development environment. Integration of end-to-end solutions on automotive systems and operator networks provide high quality of technical experience and supporting to build CI/CD, automation test and development environment. Working closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects and
Development/QA team in Delivery Development team.

Report to development manager located in Japan

What You Will Do
• Design/development of automotive/mobile OTA E2E solution (Cloud/On-premise)
• Contribute to clarify customer requirement and transfer to global teams
• Transfer knowledge to QA/technical support through documentation and meeting
• Writing code to develop customer feature, to improve our product, to deeply understand
technical feasibility etc.
• Investigate and analyzing technical problems and making recommendations to improve
software quality
• Improve technical level of team members and development environment
o Integrate OTA E2E solution on On-premise or Cloud Services
o Build CI/CD development environment
o Build automation testing environment
What You Need
• Education: BSc. in Computer Science or equivalent
• 7+ years of work experience in development of Web application systems, services or Embedded OS platform using C, Java or modern programming language (C++, Python, JavaScript etc.)
• Hands-on experience with tools like: Maven, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket
• Linux hands-on, networking
• Independent, experienced in learning new environments and assemble POC quickly,
experienced in working under pressure and deadlines
• Independent and Self Motivated
• Ability to work as a team member
• Native level Japanese
• Comprehensive English skills (meeting, reporting and collaboration)
What is Nice to Have
• Experience with C/C++ development
• Experience with development on Embedded OS software programming (Linux / Android / QNX)
• Knowledge and experience in using: Spring Boot, JUnit, Cucumber
• Experience with CI/CD related tools: Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with modern web development: Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, REST API
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell, Groovy, Gradle)
• Experience & knowledge of DB – Oracle/PostgreSQL, SQL, Elasticsearch
• Experience with Cloud Services like AWS/Azure/GCP
