Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to drive quality engineering across a digital and AI transformation program. The role requires strong programming fundamentals, test automation expertise and hands-on experience with AI-powered tools in an Agile, cloud-native environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Apply Agile/Scrum across the SDLC, including sprint planning, estimation, test strategy and acceptance criteria
- Partner with development and product teams to resolve defects, test failures and regressions through clear bug reports
- Build and maintain scalable Web, API and Mobile/Native automation frameworks using Java or TypeScript, coding standards, design patterns and programming fundamentals
- Run automated and manual tests; analyze results, troubleshoot failures, and support CI/CD, performance, integration and cloud-native testing with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Azure, Docker and Selenium Grid
- Use GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude CLI, LLMs and AI/ML frameworks to accelerate test creation, code review, SDLC optimization, test generation, anomaly detection, defect prediction and root-cause analysis
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3+ years of automation testing experience in high-tech and/or highly regulated industries, preferably using AI
- Hands-on experience developing automation testing practices with modern technology stacks, scripting, programming and BDD exposure
- Strong skills in Java, Python, Bash or PowerShell, with practical test automation experience
- AI engineering experience using GitHub Copilot Agent Mode, GitHub Enterprise and Microsoft AI Foundry to build agents, design prompts, run evaluations, and validate agent accuracy and performance
Language Required: Business level Japanese (JLPT N2 and above) and Business level English.
