Job Purpose

This role requires to develop winning promotional schemes at L3F in Off-Trade for key brands and to make contribution to commercial budget achievement, while addressing both commercial and consumer challenges, strongly rooted on relevant Consumer, Trade and Competitor insights.

Principal Accountabilities

Promotion Management

Initiate winning off-trade consumer promotion for key brands via working closely with Brand Communication team, Sales team and Supply Chain Management team. Develop in-store visibility tools and mechanic for key brands which drive both sales volume and brand awareness / consideration.

Concretely:

  • Organize a promotional calendar which utilizes resources in the most optimum way and with efficient timings to drive sales and brand equity as a portfolio.
  • Mix National, Seasonal and Tailor-made promo scheme to best meet the promotional needs.
  • Make sure all promotions are well planned and agreed in advance, monitor their implementation and ensure a complete evaluation of the promotion upon their completion.
  • Plan and arrange in-store tasting demonstration strategically with A&P resource allocated efficiently on brands / customers to acquire new trials and extra in-store visibilities.
  • Conduct creative development/local adaptation/production/delivery, that are consistent with Brand Positioning, Proposition, Strategy and Guidelines.
  • To enable timely presentation to customers of our promotions, ensure timely promotion development process and internal approval process (Promo Sign Off for 1 year plan, QBP process for updating and reviewing quarterly).
  • Keep Supply Chain team (both IBT and OBT) informed of annual promo plans as well as any latest update.
  • As for procurement, manage Marketing A&P budget, adhere to Purchasing Policy and optimize inventory health of POS materials.

Business Development

  • Understand PROFS strategy to align with commercial team on key priority brands and optimum resource allocation.
  • Pay attention to market trend, consumer trend, customer trend and competitors activities, then plan/adjust/optimize promotional plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.

Off-Trade Merchandising

  • Secure and allocate merchandising budgets by brands and channels, and execute and control impactful in-store merchandising tools to be in line with brand guidelines.
  • Provide brand education to Field Merchandiser team and improve quality of their activities, so that they can communicate brand message to key accounts effectively.
  • Make effective in-store merchandising tools available for key brands to be used for regular shelf and out of shelf visibility, so that Field Merchandisers can make the most out of them.

Minimum requirements

Education:

4 year university graduate or above

Language:

Native Japanese and Intermediate Level English (TOEIC Score of 700 as reference. Score submission is not required)

Background &

Experience:

Have Trade-marketing background with consumer brands for 3 years.

Key Competencies:

Self-starter mindset. Flexibility to cope with practical challenges is a must. Planning & organizing, relationship-building & coordination, logical, analytical & critical thinking, Project Management skills (schedule & budget)

Others:

Strong willingness to challenge Marketing profession is a plus. High affinity with digital environment; Interest in Wine & Spirits / Food are a plus
