VCT Homeroom Engineer
- Position Description
- VCT development (Hydraulics, structural, dynamics design work), lead VCT design, create DFMEA and DVPR, analyze test and simulation data.
- Work closely with global members (manufacturing, product, validation, quality group) to develop new VCT products
- Work with suppliers to learn and develop new manufacturing processes
- Support global application team and projects.
- Provide support for manufacturing / quality / supplier development investigation of global VCT application team when needed.
- Experience/background
- Bachelor/Master Degree on Mechanical engineering or similar degree is preferred
- More than 10years of experience in engineering field is preferred.
・ Work experience as engineer or development engineer for automotive engine component is preferred.
・ Understands the fundamentals of automotive components
- Skill
- Fluent in Japanese
- Understands and can follow product design procedure
- Works diligently and is positive in learning new products
・ Action oriented. Can work proactively on its own
・ Has the skill to communicate across different groups (within and outside of Product Engineering)
・ Can report to the manager at a timely manner.
・ Has the necessary PC skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)
- Capable of holding engineering explanation and discussion with BorgWarner global team. Capable of understanding and expressing in English.
- Has a good understanding of hydraulics, dynamics, structural design, controls and GD&T.
