Job Description

Team Summary

The Japan Merchant Sales & Acquiring (MSA) team is responsible for the short and long term growth of merchant acceptance for Visa’s existing and new Digital products and services. The team is focused on expanding acceptance for contactless and enabling a cashless Japan. The team will achieve its success through working with and through its acquiring partners, key merchant partners and the technology firms driving innovation in the market place. Visa has reinforced its focus on long-term acceptance growth by developing partnerships, enhancing market investments, and having the right talent to execute directly with our regional merchant & acquirer clients.

What the Account Executive, MSA does at Visa:

This is a client-facing role and you will establish and foster deep relationships with Clients and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities also include providing data for deal initiation sheet creation, advising account executive, conducting first level review of deal model output with Account Owner, supporting BDs in preparing client proposal and reviewing contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead specific projects requiring broad co-ordination efforts across multiple functional areas
  • Perform as a reliable PMO to overlook vendors and report risks in time Defining the scope, understanding clients’ objectives, framing the problem or opportunity.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments and functions to assure an appropriate and timely response to clients requests and needs, proactively following up on pending matters.
  • Collect and analyze input such as client information, interviews, data, processes, policies, competitive and environmental information
  • Synthesize analysis to determine gaps, issues, opportunities.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops as an element of client engagements, to enable creative problem solving and/or transfer domain knowledge, helping clients to realize project objectives across multiple client teams/functions
  • Responsible for internal and external presentation outputs and documents to support team.

In this role, you will be representing Visa in your interactions with the Client. You will share Visa’s vision and communicate the implications of the changing payments landscape to our acquiring, payment enabler and merchant partners.

You will be providing strategic and critical support to the MSA team. You will work closely with other core functions in Visa to include Product, Business Solutions, Government Relations, Client Support, CyberSource, etc.

Qualifications

What you will need:
We are looking for individuals with strong account management and sales experience along with deep payment and consulting expertise to provide analysis and strategic thinking to shape the services we deliver to clients and lead consulting engagements to develop actionable and scalable insights and solutions.

  • 5 years of experience in either payments division with a merchant, acquiring of payment enablement player providing merchant solutions, financial services sector, or Technology / FINTECH sector experience.
  • Results-oriented and team player who has the ability to collaborate across multiple functions and stakeholders to drive effective outputs
  • Experience in supporting and tracking client-centric strategies within a complex multinational, matrixed organizations.
  • Solution focused: Connect the dots and creatively leverage work arounds to meet client needs and/or implement best practices. Quick to adapt / recover and reset priorities in changing circumstances
  • Motivated and self-starter that can drive initiatives from start to finish and has a legacy of creating successful results
  • Possess high learning agility: A person that thrives in breaking new frontiers in an industry that is undergoing a tremendous change. That enjoys working with a smart, hardworking team of experienced industry experts that drives the sales
